President

Celina is an ATA certified English to Spanish Translator specializing in medical, healthcare, public health, and educational content.

She graduated from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1993 as a Public Translator and in 1994 as a Scientific and Literary Translator. She became a sworn legal translator through the School of Public Translators of the City of Buenos Aires in 1995.

Her experience as a freelance professional and as an in-house linguist provided her the opportunity to learn the profession from different perspectives. As a Quality Manager for Transperfect Translations New York she managed the quality of large scale translated content for VIP and Fortune 500 clients, and after moving to Georgia in 2007, she worked at HolaDoctor as Director of Quality Assurance and later as Project Manager. There she defined translation standards and processes for the Translations Department, provided cultural consulting for Cultural Adaptation and learned the business from a corporate perspective.

Celina currently works as a Bilingual Publications Analyst at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where she translates and certifies public health information for the CDC website and for other programs.

She has been a member of Colegio de Traductores P├║blicos de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires since 1995, and has been an active member of the ATA since 2001. She is proud to have served as an AAIT Director for the past four years in the capacity of Membership Director and Vice President and to continue to serve as President.
